ADVANCING OPERA SINGERS
Hertfordshire Opera based in Watford, (North London), aims to attract eager, young singers throughout UK to come and revive the opera world in Hertfordshire. We love to bring hope also to the graduated, professional opera singers as well as instrumentalists. We are willing to boost their confidence, help them prove their worth and thus achieving a successful career.
We prepare our singers in order to bring high standards of singing and acting in our future productions through music as well as language coaching, rehearsals and choreography. We also help with maintaining as well as developing our instrumentalist’s skills. We provide full intensive training sessions in the run up to our productions while working with music specialists and chorus masters, choreographers, and conductors from Royal College of Music, Guildhall School of Music & Drama and Royal Welsh Music & Drama.
We hope to give feedback to each and one of the singers/conductors/instrumentalists auditioning. We are also very keen in finding out more about the applicant as a person. Who are you beyond the performing stage? We provide opportunities for singers and instrumentalists to perform, build up their portfolio and experience as they reach their final destination to success.
These opportunities are however unpaid. We are aiming to become a professional Opera Company but we are not there yet as we do not have the funding or the neccesarry sponsors to finance our performers.

Would you like to be part of something more than just fun and social? Perhaps performing in an opera production? Join our choir! You do not have to be necessarily a professional singer. as long as you have the drive we will do the rest. We will train you as part of our weekly rehearsals.
